SHERBROOKE INTERNATIONAL BANTAM TOURNAMENT RULES
1.0 SANCTION AND RULES FOR ALL GAMES
1.01 This tournament is approved by Hockey Quebec.
1.02 Rules from C.H.A. and from Hockey Quebec will be enforced.
2.00 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
2.01 For teams outside of Quebec the tournament will demand:
a) a travel permit issued by its division or by the association to which it belongs;
b) contracts issued by the section or association from which the players signature
may be verified;
c) proof of age of each player;
d) a game schedule of the league where the team plays;
e) a game report or score sheet of the five (5) last games of the team.
2.02 For teams from Quebec, the tournament will demand:
a) a tournament permit issued by its division or by the association to which it
belongs:
b) a games schedule of the league where the team plays;
c) team members registration form approved by an association or league registrar
(original only);
d) a game report of the five (5) last games of the team.
3.00 GAMES ORGANISATION
3.01 Regulation times for each games is as follows:
1st period: twelve (12) minutes stop time
2nd period: twelve (12) minutes stop time
3rd period: fifteen (15) minutes stop time
3.02 Before each game, the warm up period will be three (3) minutes and if teams are not
ready, they may receive a two (2) minutes penalty for delaying the game.
3.03 Before each game, all players must sign their name on a form issued by the
tournament.
3.04 One time out of 30 seconds will be allowed for each teams.
3.05 Ice surfacing will be done every two (2) periods or at the tournament’s organization
discretion.
3.06 a) if at the end of the second period or during the third period, one team is
disadvantaged of seven (7) goals, the game will be ended immediately;
3.07 In all levels, the home team is designated by the schedule during the preliminary
round. The designated home team will wear the pale color jersey and the visitor team
will wear the dark color jersey.
3.08 there will be no overtime in preliminaries.
3.09 During play offs, the local designated team is the highest team in the standing during
the preliminary round.
3.10 Teams must be ready to play at least fifteen (15) before the scheduled time.
3.11 In case of a tie in the standing in the preliminary round, rule 9.8 of breaking ties from
“Administration Regulations Manual of Hockey Quebec” will be enforced. If during
the play offs rounds, a game between two (2) teams end with a tie the same rule 9.8
will be enforced.
3.12 Overtime regulation will be enforced according the "Administration Regulations Manuel of Hockey Quebec.
3.13 The first eigth (8) teams in each level according the standings will continnue in the payoffs round in there level.
4.00 DIFFERENT DISPOSITIONS
4.01 The management of the tournament will not be responsible for any injury to all
Team’s members or to the team’s supporters.
4.02 The management of the tournament will not be responsible for any damage or
stolen equipment.
4.03 A team will be held responsible for any damage cause by any of its members to
the installation or equipment used during the tournament.
4.04 Registrated players, teams coaches, manager and officials of the tournament only
will have access to the player’s room.
4.05 If a dispute occurs concerning regulations and if one or several teams are concerned
only one official responsible member of these teams will be admitted to discuss this
dispute with the organization committee.
4.07 Before their first game, manager or team’s responsible must present their port folio
with all required documents at the registrar’s office situated at the Complexe ThibaultGM
arena.
4.08 Any changing to the schedule will not be done in any case.
4.09 The management of the tournament reserves the right to change arenas without any
advice.
4.10 In case of major events ( snow storm, long electrical stop) which may compromise the
security of teams travel, the management of the tournament reserved the right to do a
new schedule or even end the tournament. The management of the tournament will not
be responsible for any additional expenses to the teams because of any modifications.
4.11 The management of the tournament or tournament’s officials may end a game if they
judge that the security of any players is compromised.
4.12 If a team decide to withdraw after been accepted and the schedule officialized, the organization
committee will not be obliged to refund the payment of the registration.
5.00 ORGANIZER OF THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE
5.01 This committee reserves the right to make regulations regarding any matter not
covered by this document. Decisions taken by this committee will be final and without
appeal.
